The Cloud Software Development Engineer is at the forefront of Oracle Cloud operations, working on development, integration, and process automation. They collaborate with teams, including Finance and Cloud Enablement, to define and maintain standardized practices for using Oracle cloud services. This role also guides system design to meet technical standards and ensures a smooth transition to production. The Engineer configures cloud platforms, manages APIs, and integrates applications with cloud services to bridge various cloud architectures.
Main areas of focus are on building governance, security, privacy, and networking standards in Oracle Cloud, which includes:
- IaaS / PaaS services
- Pipelining
- Service Principles
- Disaster Recovery in respect to IaaS and PaaS
- Multi Region
- Integrations with Azure / AWS
- Monitoring
- Networking
- Fast Connect
- VCN Infrastructure (ingress/egress)
- Governance
Job Responsibilities:
- Consult on Oracle OCI and OIC best practices.
- Design and develop software tasks.
- Collaborate on architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Code APIs for cloud systems and applications.
- Translate architectural requirements into cloud solutions.
- Contribute to strategic plans and roadmaps.
- Estimate development time and deliver features.
- Participate in software design and coding reviews.
- source code and perform unit tests.
- Develop technical documentation.
- Analyze functional requirements.
- Formulate technical recommendations.
- Create technical designs aligned with functional needs.
- Manage problem resolution.
- Implement security measures.
- Ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with Oracle OCI and OIC.
- 5+ Years of experience with Oracle.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and services.
- Public, private, and hybrid cloud engineering.
- Asynchronous development experience.
- CI/CD pipeline expertise.
- Development skills in Java or NodeJS.
- Proficiency with APIs and HTTP REST interfaces.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Agile Software Development knowledge.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Scrum, and ITIL.
- Mentorship and training capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving under pressure.
- Strong engineering and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of systems and subsystems.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery expertise.
- Knowledge of relevant software and coding.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
